Kutztown falls to Lock Haven in PSAC action

LOCK HAVEN, PA. (September 26, 2009) – The Kutztown University volleyball team lost to Lock Haven, 3-0, Saturday night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match. (BOXSCORE)

The Golden Bears were paced by the trio of Lindsay Confer (Wingate/Bald Eagle), Katie Lutz (Greencastle/Greencastle-Antrim) and Lindsey Smith (Hanover/Delone Catholic). Confer finished with five kills. Lutz added four kills and three blocks. Smith recorded 12 digs for the Golden Bears (6-6 overall, 0-5 PSAC).

Kutztown lost the match to the reigning PSAC Eastern Division champions, 25-19, 25-6, 25-16.

The Golden Bears return to action Monday night when they meet Alvernia University at Pine Grove Middle School beginning at 7 p.m. The match benefits the annual Shannon Sullivan scholarship and is played in her memory. (READ SULLIVAN RELEASE)
