Golden Bears
drop thriller to West Chester
WEST CHESTER, PA (October
31, 2009) –
The Kutztown University women's volleyball fell 3-2 to West Chester
in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division
Contest. The loss snapped a four-match winning streak in which the
Golden Bears (15-11, 7-10 PSAC) did not lose a single set.

| Confer had a team-high
25 kills |
After dropping the first set 25-21,
KU bounced back with wins of 27-25 and 25-21. The Golden Rams took
set four 25-16 before a narrow 15-11 win in the final set.
Lindsay Confer
(Wingate/Bald Eagle) provided the offense for the Golden
Bears with 25 kills. She also tallied 15 digs.
Cali
Snell (York/York Suburban) added 12 kills and had two
blocks, while
Katie Lutz (Greencastle/Greencastle Antrim) had nine kills
and four blocks.
The defense was led by
Jamie Celia (Douglassville/Daniel Boone)
and
Lindsey Smith (Hanover/Delone
Catholic), who combined for 42 digs. Celia collected
26, Smith had 16.
Dana Wright (Warminster/Saint Basil Academy) recorded 36
assists and 14 digs.
The Golden Bears will travel to
Shippensburg on Friday November 6 and Millersville on Saturday
November 7 to close out the regular season.
