PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Kutztown University women's basketball team was led by three players who recorded double figures in a 76-65 win over Chestnut Hill College on Tuesday night at Sorgenti Arena.

Melissa McQuade (so. Pittsburgh/Shaler) led the Golden Bears (8-1) with 20 points and nine rebounds. She was 7-for-11 from the field, including 2-of-3 on 3-pointers and 4-of-4 from the foul line. She also dished out five assists and had three steals.

Rachel Wisemiller (jr. Hazleton/Hazleton) chipped in 15 points, four rebounds and three blocks. Chauntelle Schroeder (jr. Toronto, Ontario/Mother Teresa Catholic) notched 12 points and had seven rebounds.

Lara Dellegrotti (sr. Berwick/Berwick) added nine points and five assists, and Vivian Melvin (jr. Chichester/Chichester) had eight points and four assists.

The Golden Bears used a 13-0 run to take a 17-10 lead midway through the first half and did not look back. KU led 38-30 at the break and outscored its opponent 38-35 in the second half.

The KU offense was solid from the floor, shooting 47.5 percent, and totaled up 21 assists, while the defense forced 15 turnovers and had five blocks.

KU will travel to Gannon for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover matchup at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by another PSAC crossover against Clarion at 1 p.m. Sunday.
