ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — The Kutztown University women's golf team used a strong second round team performance to climb into second place at the McDaniel Spring Invitational and finished seven strokes behind event winner Allegheny College.

Krista Tressler (so. Fayetteville/Heritage Academy) had an impressive second round, shooting a 79 in very windy conditions to finish fourth, and finished with a two-round score of 170. Kelli Pry (fr. Coatesville/Coatesville) shot an 83 on day two to combine for a 171 and finished in fifth.

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. —After day one of the McDaniel Invitational the Kutztown University women’s golf team is in third place behind Alleghany College and Nazareth College.

The top golfer for KU on day one was Kelli Pry,  who shot a team best 88 on the par 72, 5,875 yard course.  Pry is in fifth place.

Right behind Pry heading into day two will be Angie Petak who is tied for sixth with an 89. Krista Tressler currently sits in 10th place after shooting an opening round 91.

KU will return to the course tomorrow and is set to tee-off at 8:30 am for day 2 of the tournament.
