CALIFORNIA, Pa.
— Kutztown University's women's golf team finished ninth at the
California Invitational after Monday's final round at Cedarbrook Golf
Course.
KU had a two-round score of 740 after
back-to-back days of 370. The Golden Bears finished13 strokes behind
Ohio Valley University at eighth place and ahead of Mercyhurst by
eight strokes.
The Golden Bears were led by
Krista Tressler (sr. Fayeteville/Heritage Academy), who
tied for 16th place with a 167. Tressler shot an 82 in the first
round and an 85 on the final round.
Samatha
Rumbley (so. Bel Air, Md./C.
Milton Wright)
finished with a two-day total of 175 to place her 27th. After a
first round 90, which placed her tied for 40th, Rumbley bounced back
with a final round 85 to move up to 27. The final round 85 tied her
with Tressler for a team-best final round score.
Chelsea Corbo (fr. Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East), who
shot a two-day score of 182 on the par 72, 6,181 yard course. She finished in a three-way tie for 42nd place.
Morgan
Todd (fr. Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) was rounded
out the Golden Bear squad with a two-day score of 216, to finish in
66th place.
The Golden Bears will return to action
on Tuesday, April 14, at the Dickinson College Invitational.
