KUTZTOWN, Pa.
— The Kutztown University women's golf team finished in second place
at the Kutztown Invitational Saturday at the Berkleigh
Golf Club.
Mount St. Mary's
won the invite shooting a 365-351—716
in the two-day event.
The Golden Bears
shot 368 on consecutive days to finish with a final
score of 736.
McDaniel is in
third with a 379-360—739 and Mercyhurst is fourth with
a 385-372—757.
Christina Hall,
from Mount St. Mary's, won the individual title, shooting an 88-85—173.
She edged out KU's
Krista Tressler (sr. Fayeteville/Heritage Academy) on the par-72 course
by one stroke. Tressler, who shot a first-round best 86, carded an
88 Saturday to finish with a 174 and tied for second.
Samantha Rumbley (so. Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright)
finished eighth (93-92—185) and Chelsea
Corbo (fr. Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East) was ninth (93-93—186).
Lauren Foulke (sr. Kempton/Kutztown) recorded a 96-100—196
to finish 15th, while
Morgan
Todd (fr. Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) shot a 102-95—197
to place 16th. Her 95 in the final round help KU secure second place.
