Round 2 Recap

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Golden Bear women's golf team tied for 14th place at the Rutgers University Invitational after Saturday's final round.

Kutztown finished with a 36-hole team score of 696, tied with Boston University for 14th place.  Boston College won the tournament with a score of 629, followed by Lehigh (633) and Albany (635).  KU was the only non-Division I team in the field.

Kelli Pry (so. Coatesville/Coatesville) tied for 43rd place to lead KU with a score of 169.  She shot an 86 on Saturday on the par 72 course.

Samatha Rumbley (so. Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) tied for 50th with a 171.  Krista Tressler (sr. Fayeteville/Heritage Academy) tied for 70th, carding a 179.  Chelsea Corbo (fr. Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East) was 73rd with a 180 and Lauren Foulke (sr. Kempton/Kutztown) shot a 36-hole total of 186 for 84th place.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Kutztown University women’s golf team is 15th after the first round of the Rutgers University Invitational Friday afternoon.

Kutztown has team score of 345, which is good for 15th but only 11 strokes from the top ten inthe otherwise Division I field.  Lehigh is first after 18 of 36 holes with a score 317. 

Kelli Pry (so. Coatesville/Coatesville) leads KU with an 83 on the par 72, 6,034 yard Rutgers Golf Course.  She is tied for 28th.  Samatha Rumbley (so. Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and Krista Tressler (sr. Fayeteville/Heritage Academy) are tied for 50th with an 86.  Chelsea Corbo (fr. Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East) is tied for 71st with a 90 and Lauren Foulke (sr. Kempton/Kutztown) is tied for 85th at 96.
