Golden Bears
finish fourth at Mercyhurst
KUTZTOWN, PA.
(September 20, 2009) - The Kutztown University women's golf team
finished in fourth place at the Mercyhurst Invite after a two-day
total of 664 over the weekend.
Chelsea
Corbo (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East) ignited the Golden
Bears with a season-best 77, giving her a 161 total and a ninth
place finish on the par-72, 5908-yard course.

The next KU finisher was
Samantha Rumbley (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright), tied for
13th after carding an 83 for a two day total of 164. Freshman
Mindy Glatfelter (York/Eastern York) followed up her first
round 84 with an 83 to finish in 15th with a 165.
Nina Antos
(State College/State College) stayed consistent at the
invite, with an 88 on the final day, raising her total to 174 and
finishing 24th overall.
Morgan
Todd (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) shot a 90 to give
her a 179, finishing 28th.
Allegheny College ran
away with invite by collectively shooting a 621 and placing all five
of their golfers tied for fifth or better. Gannon and Clarion tied
for second with 662 strokes, just two ahead of fourth place

The Golden Bears will
compete next on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at
the Clarion Invitational.
KU in third
after first round of Mercyhurst Invite
KUTZTOWN, PA.
(September 19, 2009) - The Kutztown University women's golf team
found itself in third place of the eight-team field at the
Mercyhurst Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Bears as a
team shot a 333, with each of the starting five landing in the 80's.
Samantha Rumbley (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) led all KU
golfers with an 81 in the first round. Freshman
Mindy Glatfelter (York/Eastern York) continued her stellar
start to her collegiate career with an 82.
Chelsea
Corbo (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East) was the next KU
finisher, carding an opening round 84.
Nina Antos
(State College/State College) shot an 86, while
Morgan
Todd (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) finished the day
with an 89.
Allegheny College and
Clarion finished ahead of KU, at first and second, respectively.
Rounding out the top five were Gannon University in fourth and host
Mercyhurst in fifth.
The Golden Bears will
look to continue their dominance at the Mercyhurst Invitational on
Sunday with the final round set to tee off at 1 p.m.
