CLARION, PA
(September 27, 2009) –
The Kutztown University women's golf team shot a 509 on 27 holes
over the weekend at the Clarion Invitational to place fourth.
This was the first trip
to the par-72 Clarion Oaks Golf Club in program history.

Chelsea Corbo (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin East)
maintained her torrid start to the fall season, with an 80 on the
first day and 40 the second day. Her total of 120 was good enough to
finished tied for third place along with three other golfers.
Freshman
Mindy Glatfelter
(Wrightsville/Eastern York) also carded a day one 80
and followed it up with a second day 42.
Nina Antos (State
College/State College Area) was the next KU finisher,
posting scores of 85 and 45 for a total of 130.
Samantha Rumbley (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright)
shot finished with a 134 (89 and 45) and sophomore
Morgan Todd
(Flemington/Hunterdon Central) recorded a 138 over the
27 holes.
The Golden Bears will
have a two-week layoff before competing on the Rutgers University
Golf Course in the Rutgers Invitational on Friday, October 9 and
Saturday, October 10.
