Kutztown University and the Higher Council of Berks Council of Berks County are pleased to announce an exciting scholarship opportunity to students. Kutztown has been chosen as one of our twenty-seven participating colleges and universities to host the "Scholars in Services to Pennsylvania" program.

The Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania program is one-year program for students to become involved in their local communities through service. Students who enter the program will be requested to perform 450 hours of community service and will receive numerous benefits:

• $1250.00 Educational Award
• Leadership development
• Opportunities to travel over Winter and Summer breaks to participate in national volunteer activities
• All federal student loans will be deferred ( and interest will be paid for by the Corporation of National Service Trust).
