MISSION
Kutztown University's Community Relations and Development Services will promote mutual understandings and supportive relationships between the University and its neighbors in the surrounding communities through programs and partnerships that contribute to the common good. The unit will also foster on campus and off-campus relationships to acquire the financial resources necessary to support the overall mission of the Division of Student Services and Campus Life.
The unit will promote public service projects and activities of mutual benefit to the campus and the community, provide appropriate contact points on campus for public inquiries and requests for services, as well as advise and engage other campus organizations on issues of local concern and interest that will sustain the quality of life.
GOALS
- Facilitate and enhance positive relations and effective communications between KU, students and the local communities.
- Maintain positive working relationships with local government and economic development organizations to further create student involvement opportunities
- Establish a development program that will financially support the programs and services provided by the Division of Student Services and Campus Life.
- Promote and encourage the pursuit of all aspects of diversity.
- Regularly assess the impact and quality of programs and services.
