Please read this message from the Office of Financial Aid regarding your student loans.

As a student loan borrower, it is important for you to know that there have been regulatory changes in the student lending industry.  The College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007, which reduced lenders subsidies, was signed into law and is effective as of November 1, 2007. In response, some lenders have adjusted fees on student loans disbursed on or after November 1. It is possible that you may not have had fees taken out of your fall loan disbursement and now will have fees taken out of your spring loan disbursement.

The fees taken out are up to the discretion of the lender and may vary.  Your bill for the spring semester may not reflect the adjusted loan amount that will be disbursed to the school. We suggest you contact your lender or guarantor in order to confirm your expected disbursement amount.
