Clinical Services : Eligibility and Services
Eligibility All currently enrolled students who have paid a health services fee and have a completed health record on file are eligible for services. Student must present KU student I.D. and current health insurance information. Services Clinical Services is an ambulatory care facility. Students may be seen on a walk-in basis but appointments are strongly encouraged. Appointments can be scheduled via our new on-line scheduling system or by contacting the clinic receptionist at 610-683-4082, Option 1. A professional nursing staff evaluates all students. Depending upon the need, students may be referred to self care, scheduled for an appointment with a nurse or a physician, or referred to a local medical facility for emergency treatment. Routine health care is available for the following: minor injuries, cold/flu, vomiting/diarrhea, short-term illnesses, allergy injections, strep screens, immunizations, physical exams, health counseling, women's health care services, and pregnancy testing, etc. Physician Hours (Fall and Spring Semesters) Physicians hours are by appointment as follows: Monday and Tuesday, 1:00-5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; Thursday, 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. Because of the limited physician hours, please call 610-683-4082 if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment. Appointments also can be cancelled via the on-line scheduling system. If you need medical attention when the clinic is closed, please contact Public Safety & Police Services at 610-683-4001 for immediate assistance. |
