Jack Entriken, MS, ATC (West Chester ‘87, Shippensburg '92), is a native of Philadelphia, PA, is in his 20th year with the program. Martha Anderson, MS, ATC, (Kutztown, 1994, U of Pittsburgh '96) is in her 8th year as a faculty athletic trainer. Brandon Nolt, MS, ATC (West Chester '03, East Stroudsburg '05) is in his 5th year joining the golden bear sports medicine staff. The staff provide services for KU’s Intercollegiate Athletic Services 22 athletic teams. The KU Sports Medicine program, located in Keystone Hall 124, is affiliated with the following two medical practices: Fleetwood Medical Associates and Berkshire Orthopedic Associates of Wyomissing, PA. Dr. Robert Hippert and his Fleetwood Medical Associates, Dr. Robert Sellers, Dr. Eugene Fellin, Dr. Eric Newman and Dr. Suzanne Adam, have been affiliated with KU Sports Medicine Program since 1989, providing comprehensive medical care, as well as coverage for all home football games and NCAA and PSAC championship events. Student-athletes also have the opportunity to be cared for at the University’s Health, Wellness Center daily, as needed. Dr. Gary Canner and his Berkshire Orthopedic Associates, Dr. Scott Nord and Dr. Stephen Soffer have been providing orthopedic care and coverage for the University’s sports teams since 1990. This care extends from their office, where athletes can be seen daily on referral from the University’s Sports Medicine Staff. Dr. Canner also services KU's injured student-athletes every Thursday evening during scheduled injury clinic. (appointments required) Dr. Canner and/or his associates attend home and some away football games and provide access for injury evaluations on Sunday mornings during the academic year. The rest of the Kutztown University Sports Medicine Staff comprised of students, are vital to the daily success of the program. Without them, the job of the full-time staff would be more difficult. |
