Services
The Office of Student Union &
Involvement Services provides a variety of support
services and programs aimed at providing the best
possible experience for the University community
through the
McFarland Student Union.
With over 95,000 square feet of space, an average
traffic count of over 5,000 guests per semester
weekday and well over 3,000 events per year, the
Office of Student Union & Involvement Services is
charged with providing a balanced array of
facilities and programs that support the needs of
students and the co-curricular activities that
enhance their KU experience. Working with
commuter students and adult learners on campus is a
particular focus of the department. Providing
services, programs, and advocacy for these students
is a primary goal of the office in order to
help them be as successful as possible at KU.

The Office of Student Union & Involvement
Services delivers supports services and programs
that include:
- Event and technical support services for all
meetings
- Programs and events held in the McFarland
Student Union
- The
McFarland Student Union Movie Series
- Special programs for
commuter and adult students, such as
Commuter Tuesday's, Commuter Appreciation Day &
the Commuter Stress Free Zone
- Resource information for commuters through
the CAR Guide
- Roadmaps and Commuter Corner

Information Center services that include
referral information, box office services, bus
ticket sales, and locker rentals
- Coordination of the
Student Union Art Gallery
- Coordination of the College Bowl program
- Advisement of the Association of
Non-Traditional Students and Alpha Sigma Lambda
Adult Student Honorary
Advisory Board
The
McFarland Student Union Advisory Board is a
group of staff, faculty and students that advise
the Director on various issues and concerns
regarding the facility assist the in the
development and approval of policies for the
building.
