System Management

• The Office of Student Union & Involvement Services will be the approving authority and clearinghouse for message system.
• Messages with no corrections or edits will be approved within one business day. Most messages will be approved the same day if received during business hours.
• Special requests for custom background images may delay the publishing of messages.
• The Office of Student Union & Involvement Services would appreciate any data or feedback about the system, particularly how it relates to any impact on the services you advertise. (increase/decrease in attendance or service utilization, etc.)

Guidelines for Use

• Users must sign up for an account in the Office of Student Union & Involvement Services (McFarland Student Union 274) to get a login and password.  Prior to using the system a brief training/orientation will be provided with each approved user.  
• Two accounts per department are available.
• Use of the Axis system is primarily for the promotion of services, events, meetings, programs, and special happenings taking place in the McFarland Student Union.  Exceptions to this may include: student activities, student government, or special University events open to the entire student body. The University’s message channel or “blue screen” will still be broadcast in the main lobby for other University programs.
• Only one message per event, promotion, or activity is permitted.
• Messages must be broadcast for a definitive period of time not to exceed two weeks.  Open ended/continuous announcements will not be approved.
• Verbose messages or grammatical errors will be edited or returned for revision before approval is given.
• Special requests for graphics or backgrounds must be requested and approved by the Office of Student Union & Involvement Services.
• Message crawls will be managed exclusively by the Office of Student Union & Involvement Services and be restricted to peak traffic periods.
