The Office of Student Union & Involvement Services is in the full planning stages for Homecoming events. During the Spring 2007 semester, students had the opportunity to voice their opinion on this year’s theme, Blast from the Past, which focuses on decades of the past. We invite you be apart of many events and programs that are taking place for Homecoming 2007.
HOMECOMING PARADE
This year, we are excited to announce that Kutztown University is introducing an on-campus parade to the Homecoming line-up of events. The parade will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. The first fifteen organizations that register will have the opportunity to create a golf cart float for the parade. TAILGATE CITY
This is an opportunity to connect current members of student organizations with their alumni prior to the Homecoming Football game. This event is held in the area adjacent to the Athletic Field, behind Kemp Hall. The Kutztown University Student Government Association, through the Office of Student Union & Involvement Services, and the Kutztown University Foundation will provide each participating organization with a tent. There are a limited number of tents available. Tents will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Please click here for more information
VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
A number of volunteering opportunities are available to all student organizations throughout Homecoming related activities. All individual members volunteering are able to receive community service hour credit through the Office of Student Union & Involvement Services. Please click here for more information
PRIZES
- Parade Float
- Winner will receive a $100.00 cash prize from the Alumni Association.
- Parade Performance
- Winner will receive a $50.00 cash prize from the Alumni Association.
- Tailgate City Tent Decorating Contest
- Winner will receive a $100.00 cash prize from the KU Foundation.
MANDATORY MEETING
All organizations participating in the Homecoming Parade and/or Tailgate City will be required to attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the MSU Alumni Auditorium. Themes will be chosen during this time. |
