Academic Coordinator for the Educational Talent Search Program

Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse populations.

The Kutztown University Education Talent Search grant-funded program invites applications for a non-tenure track full time/temporary faculty position for the 2008-2009 academic year with an excellent chance of rehire contingent upon grant funding.  The incumbent serves as Academic Coordinator for the Education Talent Search Program (ETSP). The desired candidate will have experience working with middle school and high school aged students, working with diverse populations, and familiarity with the secondary school structure.  The overall responsibilities include providing vision and leadership in planning and implementing all programmatic efforts to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and university mandates, and project specific objectives. 

A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field is required.  School counseling experience preferred; bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.  Review of applications will begin on March 17, 2008, and will continue until the position is filled.
