Temporary Position in Astronomy
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse

The Department of Physical Sciences invites
applications for a temporary faculty position in Astronomy
commencing August 2008. A Master’s degree, or higher, in
Astronomy or a related field is required, with prior experience
teaching introductory or intermediate astronomy or astronomy related
courses at the college level. A commitment to undergraduate
teaching is expected. Teaching responsibilities will include both
lecture and laboratory sections of astronomy. The teaching load
consists of twenty four contact hours per academic year.

statement of teaching philosophy, and three current letters of
recommendation to the Chairperson of the Astronomy Search Committee,
Department of Physical Sciences, Kutztown University of
