Kutztown University of
Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting,
and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The Department of
Biology invites applications for a tenure-track position in
Conservation Biology beginning in Fall 2012. Required:
Ph.D. in Biology or related field (completed before the contract is
signed). The successful candidate will be expected to develop
coursed in areas such as resource management, habitat restoration,
and conservation; contribute significantly to the interdisciplinary
environmental science program; and have a demonstrated commitment to
undergraduate education and research. Preference will be given to
candidates whose teaching and research specialties complement those
of the biology faculty. Three years of college-level teaching
experience or equivalent required. Courses to be taught include
conservation biology and other majors and non-majors courses in
environmental science and biology. Successful interview and
demonstration of relevant ability required. Salary competitive.
Tenure-track faculty are expected to
show excellence in teaching , continued
scholarly growth evidenced by research and publications, and service
to the department and university.
