Three Temporary Full-Time Positions in Biology
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse
populations.
The Department of Biology invites
applications for three full-time temporary positions to teach
introductory biology for non-majors, and other biology courses as
needed, for the 2008-2009 academic year. Required: A Master's
degree in Biology or related field; Ph.D. preferred. One year
of college-level teaching experience or equivalent required;
additional teaching experience and/or experience teaching biology to
non-science majors is desirable. Full-time temporary faculty
are also encouraged to participate in service to the department,
which could include participation in the revisions of the non-majors
biology courses, and other departmental duties, possibly to include
student/faculty research. Courses to be taught include lecture
and laboratory sections of Introduction to Biology, a non-majors
introductory biology course, and other biology courses as needed.
Successful interview and demonstration of relevant ability required.
