Tenure Track Position for
Clarinet Specialist
Kutztown University of
Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting,
and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The Department of Music at Kutztown University invites
applications for a full-time, tenure track position beginning Fall
2012, for a Clarinet Specialist.
Teaching responsibilities will include clarinet studio
teaching, clarinet ensemble, chamber music coaching, Introduction to
Music Literature, with other duties as assigned according to the
applicant’s strengths.
Preference may be given to those candidates with significant
performing experience in commercial music, as well as those with
proven success in student recruitment.
A Doctorate in Music is preferred; ABD will be considered
with completion of degree within one year of hire.
Minimum requirements include a Masters in Music, Music
Performance, or a related field, and three academic years of related
teaching experience.
Successful interview and demonstration of teaching and
playing ability will be required.
