Assistant Professor Position in Criminal Justice

Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse populations.

Department of Criminal Justice: Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, Tenure track position.  Begins August 2008.  Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology or in a related field.  A well-qualified ABD will be considered, with completion of degree before time of appointment.  A minimum of one year teaching experience is required.  Applicants with a proven record of scholarship preferred.  Teaching load may include Research Methods in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Introduction to Criminal Justice; teaching at off-campus site may be required.  Candidates must complete a successful interview and demonstrate teaching effectiveness.
