Part-Time Temporary Saxophone Instructor
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The Department of
Music at Kutztown University announces the following part-time,
one semester sabbatical replacement position for the Fall 2008
term – Saxophone Instructor. Duties will include teaching
all applied saxophone lessons and saxophone choir. Preference
may be given to those candidates that demonstrate a thorough
knowledge and application of both jazz and classical styles.
Required: Master of Music and three years of teaching, or
equivalent professional experience is required. A recognized
performer with proven success as someone who enables students to
reach their full potential is desired. Successful interview and
demonstration of teaching and playing ability are requisite
qualifications. This part-time appointment begins on August 25,
2008. Review of applications will begin on June 1, 2008, and
will continue until the position is filled. The committee will
notify applicants of its employment decision after the position
is filled.
