Tenure Track Position in Marketing
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse
populations.
The Marketing Department of the College of
Business at Kutztown University invites applications for a
tenure-track position in the Department of Marketing effective with
the fall 2008 semester. The individual must be able to teach a
variety of marketing courses in the undergraduate and graduate
programs. Teaching experience at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels is desirable. In addition to teaching, other
academic responsibilities include: academic advising, membership on
department committees and service to the department and university.
Although Kutztown University is principally a teaching institution,
the hire will be required to maintain his/her academic
qualifications through research and scholarly activities sufficient
to support AACSB accreditation.
An earned doctorate in marketing or business
with a concentration in marketing is highly desired. ABD’s with a
degree earned within one year of employment may be considered.
Terminal degrees in subjects other than marketing will be considered
if supported by relevant work experience and scholarly research and
publications in marketing.

Salary is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and rank
and step is negotiable with the university administration.
