Tenure Track Position in Accounting
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse
populations.
The Accounting and Finance Department of Kutztown University of
Pennsylvania invites applications for two tenure-track faculty
positions in Accounting starting in the fall semester of 2008.
Applicants must be able to teach a variety of Accounting courses at
the undergraduate and graduate level, and must be available to teach
during the day and evening. Candidates must demonstrate the ability
to publish in related academic, practitioner, and/or pedagogical
journals. ABD with concentration in Accounting or related area from
an accredited university with awarding of Doctorate within one year
of hire will be considered; earned Doctorate in Accounting or
related area is preferred. CPA or related professional
certification is a plus. Teaching experience at the undergraduate
level and professional experience are desirable.
Submit an application letter; chronological resume with
emphasis on academic qualifications, publication record, teaching
and professional experience; transcripts for all undergraduate and
graduate work (official transcripts required prior to on-campus
interview); and three current letters of reference addressed to the
chair of the search committee. Standard teaching load is four
courses per semester. Salary scale is determined by the Collective
Bargaining Agreement and rank and step is negotiable with the
university administration.
