The
Department of Physical Sciences invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position in Environmental Chemistry commencing August 2008.
The position requires a Ph.D. in environmental science or any
sub-discipline of chemistry with an environmental component, one
year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent (e.g.
teaching assistantships), and a successful interview and
demonstration of teaching ability. The successful
candidate will lead the chemistry group in advancing the
undergraduate environmental science program and support the
instruction of core chemistry courses. The teaching load
consists of twenty-four contact hours per academic year.
The successful candidate is also expected to develop an active
research program that involves undergraduate students.
