Full Time Tenure-Track Position in Geophysics
Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located
adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural
setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The
Department of Physical Sciences invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position in Geophysics or related field commencing August 2008. Primary teaching responsibilities
will include introductory courses in geology, as well as several
upper-level undergraduate geology and geophysics courses.
The successful candidate will also be expected to develop an
active research program that involves undergraduate students.
The teaching load consists of twenty-four contact hours per
academic year. Successful interview and demonstration of
teaching ability are required. A Ph.D. in Geophysics or
related field in required. Submit a hardcopy of application including

transcripts, a brief statement of teaching philosophy,
undergraduate research plans, and three current letters of
recommendation to the Chairperson of the Geophysics Search
Committee, Department of Physical Sciences, Kutztown University
