Full Time Tenure-Track Position in Physics

Kutztown University enrolls approximately 10,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located adjacent to the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting and is within 30 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University is very interested in hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse populations.

 

The Department of Physical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Physics commencing August 2008.  This person will be expected to teach introductory as well as several upper level undergraduate and graduate physics courses.  Candidates with multiple years of teaching experience are preferred.  The teaching load consists of twenty-four contact hours per academic year.  The successful candidate will have a major impact on the development of the physics.  In particular, we are looking for an experimental physicist willing to work with students on various experimental projects and conduct an active research program involving undergraduates.  Successful interview and demonstration of teaching ability is required.  A Ph.D. in physics is required along with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and research.
