Student H1N1 Immunization Clinics (MORE IMMUNIZATIONS SCHEDULED!)
Special Note (Oct. 12)
Although the symptoms have been mild for most of these cases, everyone should remain vigilant, especially those who have pre-existing conditions, such as asthma, diabetes or other underlying conditions that may compromise one’s immunity.
The KU Health & Wellness Center is actively monitoring the influenza (flu) season. The center is a Pa. Department of Health surveillance site and conducts random testing each week to the determine the virus strain.
Since the H1N1 virus is the current circulating virus, it is assumed that all the cases at this time are H1N1. Regardless, the treatment for the seasonal flu and the H1N1 is the same.
This page is a resource for members of the Kutztown University community and family members to obtain information and news regarding H1N1 (swine flu).
In the event of a flu outbreak at KU, this page will be updated with the latest communication to the campus community and constituents.
