A beautiful oasis for study, mingling and reflection... The Alumni Plaza provides a pathway through the heart of campus for our students and represents the soul of Kutztown University -- our alumni, faculty, parents and friends. To those who travel across the KU campus, the Plaza welcomes and inspires through the peaceful sound of water cascading down the wall of hand-carved stone. The many inscribed bricks create a footprint of memories and sustain the tradition of giving at Kutztown University.

The Plaza stands as a vibrant symbol of encouragement between past, present, and future KU students:

• Alumni donors celebrate their own success and achievement.
• Current students see the interest and encouragement to succeed through the generosity of others.
• Future students see a visible reminder that there is a tradition of caring and support among the university community of alumni, faculty, parents, and friends.

Bricks can be paid in a single installment via check, credit card or on-line, or can be paid through installments of one or two years. The size and cost of the available bricks for inscriptions are:

13 characters per 3 lines $300 4x8	13 characters per 6 lines $500 8x8	15 characters per 9 lines $1,000 12x12

Each brick in the Alumni Plaza is placed within a decade section:

• Decades 1900, 1910, 1940, 1960, 1980 are at the North end of the Plaza.
• Decades 1920, 1930, 1950, 1970, 1990 are at the South end of the Plaza.
• All bricks from 2000 forward and those without any associated graduation year are placed in the walkway along the Graduate Center, starting at Main Street (South end).

Brick placement is determined by the following:

• Earliest year of graduation noted on the inscription, or
• Graduation year of the donor, or
• Name/message and no associated graduation year.
