The Community Scholars Program began in 1995 and has grown each year. The goal of the Community Scholars program is to educate those who seek but who might not otherwise afford a college education. This academic year, over 110 students will receive scholarships from over 90 businesses.

The Community Scholars Program awards in the company donor's name a textbook grant ($200 or $400) or scholarship ($1,000 or $2,000) to a student who otherwise would be unable to afford a college education. Gifts made by the donor company are matched on a $1 to $1 basis by the Kutztown University Foundation.
