Can you still picture their faces? You know...the people who encouraged you and helped make possible your college education twenty-five…fifty years ago.
Maybe it was a family member who provided moral or financial support...a professor who encouraged, challenged, and inspired you...or even a classmate whose companionship helped you through long days and nights of rigorous study.
Whoever it was, your experiences at Kutztown included others who cared enough about you to make a difference in your life. Students today, just like fifty years ago, need others who care enough to make a difference in their lives.
Kutztown University's 50th and 25th Reunion Classes began a tradition many years ago of celebrating their reunions by creating endowed scholarships. The actual gift creating an "endowed" scholarship is never spent, but rather a portion of the income from the fund is awarded each year for the scholarship.
Leadership donors from the 50th anniversary class are given the opportunity to remember someone important to them in a special listing in the spring commencement program. Members of the 25th anniversary class making leadership gifts are recognized on a plaque in the Rohrbach Library.
