Instructions
Kutztown University audio broadcasts can be accessed in a few steps. However, it is important that you have the necessary computer hardware and software.
Here are minimum requirements to download and use Windows Media Player on the Kutztown University

Windows:
90MHz Intel Pentium processor or equivalent
16MB of RAM
14.4Kbps modem (audio only)
28.8Kpbs modem (video)
16-bit sound card and speakers
65,000-color video display card (video)
Windows 95 or later operating system
Internet connection and web browser.
Macintosh:
Mac* OS 8.1 or later
32 MB RAM
65MB virtual memory
604 PowerPC* (200 MHz or better)
Internet connection
Browser support: Microsoft* Internet Explorer* 4.01 or later or Netscape* 4.05 or later
If your computer meets the above requirements, you may proceed to use Windows
Media Player.
How to Download and Install Windows Media Player
If you do not already have a version of Windows Media Player (to be referred to as WMP below) installed on your computer, you will need to download and install it to listen to the Golden Bear Network.
Close all open applications.
Go to Microsoft's
Windows Media Download Center
(the above link will open in a new window to allow you to
follow these directions)
Select the version of WMP that is correct for your operating system (Windows 95, 98, 2000, Mac, etc.)
Click "Download Now" and save the file to a
directory on your hard drive.
(remember the name of the file and where you saved it
on your hard drive)
When download is complete, locate the file on your computer's hard drive and double click it. It will begin to download WMP.
At this point, you will see a window "Windows Media Component Setup" You will have to answer a few questions, follow the instructions with your personal installation preferences.
Complete the instructions and begin installation.
When installation is complete, you will be asked to restart your computer.
How to Listen to a Golden Bear Network Broadcast
Accessing through the KU Website
Audio broadcasts can be accessed through the Kutztown University website. Go to the KU
Golden Bear Network Website at http://www.kutztown.edu/goldenbearnetwork.
At the above link, simply follow the link in the "Next Sporting Event" box for a live broadcast. For an archived broadcast, locate the link for the event you want to listen to in the "Archive of Past Broadcast" box.
Accessing through the Windows Media Player
Netscape users will have to use the following instructions to access Golden Bear Network broadcasts
You should have a Windows Media Player (WMP) icon on your desktop. When you click on this icon you will access WMP.
Under the "File" menu, select "Open URL"
In the window that opens, type exactly the following:
mms://broadcast.kutztown.edu/goldenbearnetwork
Click "OK"
Note: you will get an error message if there is not a current live broadcast. For archived broadcasts, visit the Golden Bear Network Website Archive Section
