All student-owned PCs running
Microsoft Windows Vista, XP or 2000 are required to have Windows
Automatic Updates enabled and configured to automatically
download and install all recommended updates. The Cisco
Clean Access network security system checks the Automatic
Updates configuration each time you log in via the Clean Access
Agent. PCs with disabled or misconfigured Windows Updates
will be quarantined and denied full network access.
Windows Vista: To make sure your Automatic Updates are configured
properly, go to Control Panel -> Security -> Windows Update and select Change settings. Click the Install updates automatically (recommended) option and choose a desired schedule (at least once per week).
