How to Clean Out Your Temp Files or
Cache from Internet Explorer

Sometimes, when using Internet Explorer, your computer begins to function more slowly or even freeze up.  This could be an indication that it’s time to delete the temporary or cached files from your hard drive.

To clear Internet Explorer temporary files on a PC:

1.      Run Internet Explorer.

2.      Click on Tools, Internet Options.

3.      Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.

4.      Click OK.

5.      Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

To clear Internet Explorer temporary files on a MAC:

1.      Run Internet Explorer.

2.      Click on Explorer, Preferences.

3.      Under the Web Browser section, click Advanced.

4.      Under Cache, click the Empty Now button.

5.      Click on OK to exit the Preferences.
