Q: What is the "KU Card"?
A: The "KU Card" is the Official Kutztown University Campus Card. It is an ID Card, Library Card, Access Card, Meal Card, Debit Card, ATM Card, Shuttle Card & much more! Here is what the newly issued ID cards will look like.

Q: What is "Bear Bucks" and how can I make a deposit or check my balance?
A: "Bear Bucks" is a declining debit balance attached to the "KU Card" which allows you to use your card in place around campus, and off campus. You can make a deposit, suspend a card, and check your balance visit Online Student Services.

Q: How do I get a "KU Card"?
A: If you are a new student to KU you will receive your "KU Card" when you come to orientation. If you are new Faculty or Staff, on your first day of orientation, you will receive your ID. Our office is located in the McFarland Student Union Building
RM 288(Next door to the coffee shop). The hours of operations during the semester are as follows 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., if in fact you need to replace your lost card and it is after office hours you can stop by Public Safety, located on the first floor of Old Main.

Q: How much does the "KU Card" cost?
A: The "KU Card" is free for all incoming students who attend the on-campus orientation program. All other students will be assessed a $15.00 replacement fee. Upon receiving your ID a $15.00 charge will be placed on your account and you will receive a bill in your KU Email account within a week, payable at the Bursar's Office, Administration Building,

Q: What should I do if I lost my card?
A: Your campus ID card should be treated with the same care as a credit card. It gives you access to services for which you have already paid. Do not let anyone else use your ID card. It is assigned to YOU and is non transferable. If someone else tries to use your ID card, the card will be confiscated and considered to be a misused card.

Q: How do I report a Lost, Stolen, or Damaged ID Card?
A: To report a lost or stolen card please call (610) 683-4829 immediately in order to suspend the lost card or you can also suspend or report lost/stolen of your card through our Online Card Office web site. If your lost card had ATM capability, immediately call 1-800-799-4337 to prevent access to your PSECU account. This will prevent fraudulent use of your card. There is a replacement charge for lost, stolen, or damaged cards. The replacement fee is $15, this charge will be placed on your account and bill will be emailed to your KU email account within a week, payable at the Bursar's Office, Administration Building, Rm. 225. Meal plans and flex dollars may only be accessed via the ID card. Otherwise, cash must be used to purchase a meal.

Q: Can I punch holes in my ID card?
A: Your KU ID card should be treated like your driver's license, or credit card. Do not punch holes in your card. Doing so will result in immediate replacement with a replacement fee of $15.00. Punching a hole in the card can reduce the integrity of the ID card causing it to damage easier.
A: Meal plans, flex dollars, and "Bear Bucks" may only be accessed via the ID card. Otherwise, cash must be used to purchase a meal.
