What if I lose my card?
If you lose your card, the first thing you should do is suspend it. This prevents anyone from using your card fraudulently. You can do that in one of three ways:
- online, in Online Student Services (students) or ProfsOnline (faculty/staff)
- in person, in the One Card Office
- by phone to the One Card Office
What if I find it again after I've suspended it?
Just stop by our office so we can verify the picture and we'll reinstate it for you. If it's outside business hours, stop by Public Safety in the basement of Old Main. They can reinstate it for you, too.
How do I get a new card?
Just stop by our office to get a new card. You'll need to know your campus ID number. If you need a new card outside regular business hours, just stop by Public Safety any time during the academic year (i.e., not in the summer). They can make you a new ID, but they can't take a new picture.
Be sure to tell the person who makes your ID that you've suspended the card so they know to reinstate it before you leave.
What does it cost?
The charge is $15 for a new ID. We don't take payment in our office; the charge is added to your Bursar bill and appears as an "ID replacement" fee.
If I get a new card, will the old one still work?
No. Your new card number replaces the old one in our system. Your old card becomes just a piece of plastic.
What if I lose my current card, but then find an old card? Can I reinstate that one?
No. Once a card number has been taken out of circulation, it is out for good. You need to either find your current card or purchase a new one.
