Books are loaned for 28 days. Educational kits in the Curriculum Materials Center circulate for 7 days and can be renewed once. Reference books, microforms, archive materials, rare books, magazines and journals do NOT circulate.

KU undergraduates may borrow up to 50 items at one time; graduates can borrow 75 items. This total includes materials borrowed from the Curriculum Materials and Audiovisual Centers.

Books can be renewed for one 28 day period for undergraduates. Honors undergraduates and graduate students can renew books for 3 28-day cycles

Borrowing privileges will be blocked an item is overdue, or when fines are accumulated.

An overdue notice is mailed 10 days after the due date. A second notice follows at 30 days after the due date. The second notice will bill the patron for the replacement cost of the books, and the students records will be sealed.

If after paying for a book, it is found and returned, the replacement cost will be refunded.
