Audiovisual Center Laptop Computers
Purpose:
To provide student, faculty and staff access to a Macintosh Laboratory and to lend, for use outside the Rohrbach Library, PC and Macintosh laptops, digital cameras, data projectors and a variety of other technology.
Equipment:
The Audiovisual Center provides 78 PC and Macintosh laptops to all KU students, staff and faculty. Laptops come equipped with zip and CD drives. Certain units have DVD players and/or floppy drives.
Hours of Service:
Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. until 12:00 midnight
Friday 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 2:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight
Users:
Kutztown University matriculating students, faculty and staff.
Circulation policies:
- Equipment circulates to matriculating KU students on an overnight basis.
- KU Faculty and staff may borrow equipment for a period of one (1) week.
- Students may not renew equipment.
- Holds are not taken for laptops or digital cameras.
- Because of the high demand holds are not taken for laptops or digital cameras.
- Please note, an overdue fine policy has been established for the late return of materials and equipment.
- Damaged and lost AV equipment shall be paid for at a price to be determined by the Audiovisual Center.

Procedures:
Students are asked to complete a lending policy form once, each semester. With a student lending policy form on file, the student only needs to present a valid KU ID to borrow materials and equipment from the AV Center. Laptops and digital cameras circulate on a first come basis and are due by midnight on the following day excluding exceptions to the regular schedule.
Video Surveillance:
In order to maintain security for our students, staff, visitors and the security of the collections, the AV Center public area is monitored by a video surveillance system. Public Safety officers are able to monitor AV Center activity and to record and archive relevant events.
