The Access Services Department is located on the First Floor of the library at the first desk on the left as you enter the Library. The Department is open all hours the library is open. It manages circulation functions for the Main Collection, course reserves, interlibrary loan of books, the library's automated system, digital imaging, university archives and the Dornish collection.

Circulation Functions
The Main Circulation Desk is the place to come if you want to: charge out printed materials, return printed materials, ask questions about fines or overdues of printed materials, get help finding print materials on the shelves, check out print reserves, ask about electronic reserves, borrow a laptop to use in the library, get help with the photocopy machines, pick up books borrowed on Interlibrary Loan, use materials in the Archives Room or the Dornish collection.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a service provided by the library that allows patrons to borrow books from other libraries when the Rohrbach Library does not own the title they need. Photocopies of journal articles from other libraries is now called Document Delivery and is located in the Periodicals Office on the second floor. Patrons can arrange their own Interlibrary Loan by using either the EZBorrow system from PALCI, or the UBorrow system within the Library Catalog. If you prefer to have the library search for the book for you, please fill out the Interlibrary Loan Form. If you have any questions, call Interlibrary Loan at 610-683-1385.
Reserves
Reserves are materials professors make available to their specific classes through the library. Books on reserve are kept at the library. Most of the items cannot be removed from the library. Shorter materials professors make available, such as journal articles can be borrowed or access on the web through Electronic Reserves. If you have any questions, contact 610-646-4178.
Archives and Special Collections
The Archives Room (100-B) holds historic documents and records of Kutztown University. The room also has the library collection of rare books, known as Special Collections. Material in these collections cannot be borrowed must be used in the Archives Room. Requests and appointments can be made by calling 610-646-4178.
Dornish Collection
The J. Robert and Alice R. Dornish Collection is the donation of Dr. J. Robert Dornish. Professor Emeritus of the College of Education. It is a collection of autographed children's literature that must be used in the Archives Room. The materials do not leave the library.
