The Information Commons Desk is the place to come if you want
to charge out printed materials, return printed materials,
ask questions about fines or overdues of printed materials,
get help finding print materials on the shelves, check out print
reserves, ask about electronic reserves, borrow a laptop or
a projector to use in the library, get help with the photocopy
machines, pick up books borrowed on Interlibrary Loan, or use
materials in the Archives Room or the Dornish Collection.
Reserves
Reserves are materials professors make available to their specific
classes through the library. Books on reserve are kept at the
library. Most of the items cannot be removed from the library.
Shorter materials professors make available, such as journal
articles, can be borrowed or accessed on the web through Electronic
Reserves. If you have any questions, contact 610-646-4174.
Archives and Special Collections
The Archives Room (203) holds historic documents and records of Kutztown University. The room also has the library collection of rare books, known as Special Collections. Material in these collections cannot be borrowed; it must be used in the Archives Room. Requests and appointments can be made by calling 610-646-4174.
Dornish Collection
The J. Robert and Alice R. Dornish Collection is the donation of Dr. J. Robert Dornish. Professor Emeritus of the College of Education. It is a collection of autographed children's literature that must be used in the Archives Room. The materials do not leave the library.
