Mission Statement
The mission of the Rohrbach Library Audiovisual
Center is multifaceted. In addition to providing both physical
and intellectual access to recorded knowledge and information
consistent with present and future instructional, research
and social needs of Kutztown University's faculty, students,
and staff, the Center offers a Macintosh microcomputer laboratory,
instructional material production tools and a lamination and
poster service.
The Rohrbach Library
Audiovisual Center media collection is comprised of videotapes,
DVD's, audio tapes, compact disc recordings, CD-ROM, SMPs, and slide
sets. The Center has the distinction of being designated a
satellite library of the National Gallery of Art. The National
Gallery of Art collection of videotapes, slides, and DVDs
is available for use by the University Community, as well
as the general public. The Rohrbach Library Audiovisual Center
circulates a collection of audiovisual equipment to supplement
departmental inventories when needed. Center staff provide
advice to departments requesting assistance with the purchase
of audiovisual equipment.
The Rohrbach Library
Audiovisual Center manages a Macintosh microcomputer laboratory.
These facilities are open 83+ hours per week and are utilized
by students from all university colleges. The Rohrbach Library
Audiovisual Center staff provide some computer user support
as part of its service.
The Rohrbach Library Audiovisual Center maintains
a variety of production equipment that is available to students,
faculty and staff.
