Other Ideas:
--Try looking through publisher’s catalogs. For example, when looking for children’s books in social studies, look in catalogs that deal with that subject.
--Call publishers and request any bibliographies or lists that they have compiled by thematic units. One in particular is from Perma-Bound, which includes a list of K-6 Literature by thematic units.
--Check out publishers’ Web sites (some are linked through the CMC Web pages) that often have lists for certain disciplines.
--Try looking in teacher’s editions of textbooks. Often literature links are included with units or lessons.
--Search Voyager to find books that focus on literature for a certain discipline like literature in the social studies classroom. Ask for help if you can't find any because we DO have some.
