Art Materials in the CMC - (PDF) For those interested in locating art materials, this handout will point out the Library of Congress call number section for art materials and give an overview of what materials are located in the CMC to support a lesson or unit on art.

How to Get Started with Research -This online pathfinder is based on The Big 6 approach to information problem-solving. It describes doing research in a simple six-step process. This approach has been adopted by many schools and can be understood by both young and old.

Locating Materials for Early Childhood Education - (PDF) This pathfinder will aid early childhood educators in locating materials relevant to their work with young children. It includes information for locating library materials as well as online resources.

Locating Materials for Multicultural Education - (PDF) A pathfinder created to assist patrons with locating materials for cultural or multicultural lessons.

Locating Math, Science, and Technology Materials - (PDF) A pathfinder that helps patrons locate materials for teaching math, science, and technology and explains the Library of Congress classification for those subjects.

Praxis Practice Materials at KU - (PDF) - A compiled list of materials available to KU students to help them prepare for the praxis exams.

Special Education Materials - (PDF) A handout that guides special education majors to relevant materials in the CMC and the library.

Textbook Evaluation - (PDF) Because the Curriculum Materials Center houses a large number of textbooks for use and review, this handout provides a sampling of questions that users could use while they are evaluating textbooks or choosing ones that may be useful in their classrooms.
