How do I find out if the Library subscribes to a certain journal?
Do a journal title search using the Library Catalog. This will search the library’s print and electronic journal subscriptions. Type in the titles of the journal in the search box and then click on Journal Title Search in the Search by box. Please note: The catalog will display the library’s print holdings (designated as Periodical Collection) first followed by electronic holdings (designated as Online Subscription). If you do not get any results you will need to request that the library order the article for you. If you need assistance please go to the Reference Desk or ask for help in RL203.

If I already have an article citation how do I find the article?
See above. Do a Journal Title Search in the Library Catalog and pay special attention to the dates available. If you do not get any results you will need to request that the library order the article for you. If you need assistance please go to the Reference Desk or ask for help in RL203.

How do I get an article that the library does not own?
If you have searched for an article and are unable to find it students, faculty and staff of Kutztown University may request articles from other libraries through our Document Delivery service. Community users are directed to request articles through their local public library.

How do I find out which databases the library subscribes to?
You can find out which databases the library subscribes to by visiting the alphabetical list of electronic resources page. This page includes a complete listing of all electronic databases that the library currently subscribes to.

How do I get off-campus access to the library’s databases?
In order to access databases from off-campus you must be a currently registered student and get your card validated at the library. To do this you will need to stop by the Circulation Desk or call them at 610-683-4480 and have your KU ID card validated. This process takes less than a minute. Your KU library barcode number is the 16-digit number on the front of your KU ID card beginning 50392 or 622001, or the 14-digit number on your yellow library card beginning 20506. Enter the number in the box exactly as it appears. Do not include spaces.
