American Drama (Chadwyck-Healey)

Containing more than 1,500 dramatic works from the colonial period to
the beginning of the twentieth century, American Drama 1714–1915 is the
largest electronic collection of American dramatic writing of its kind.
It provides literary researchers and historians with a comprehensive
survey of American dramaturgy from its origins up to the era of
sensational melodrama and manners comedy exemplified by the work of such
playwrights as David Belasco, Clyde Fitch and William Vaughn Moody.

Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans (Newsbank)

Evans Digital Edition is the digital version of Early American Imprints,
Series I. Evans (1639-1800) is based on the American Bibliography by
Charles Evans and enhanced by Roger Bristol's Supplement to Evans'
American Bibliography. This collection is a foundation set for research
involving early American history, literature, philosophy, religion, and
more. It is the definitive resource for information about every aspect
of life in 17th- and 18th-century America, from agriculture and auctions
through foreign affairs, diplomacy, literature, music, religion, the
Revolutionary War, temperance, witchcraft, etc. The digitization of this
collection is an ongoing effort. When completed, Evans Digital Edition
will include every item previously produced on microform plus more than
1,200 additional works located, catalogued and digitized since
completion of the earlier effort--more than 36,000 works and 2,400,000
images.

English Drama (Chadwyck-Healey)

English Drama contains more than 3,900 plays in verse and prose from the
late thirteenth century - the likely date of the Shrewsbury Fragments -
to the early twentieth. It offers exhaustive coverage of the prodigious
dramatic literature of the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods, as well as
Restoration plays, medieval morality plays and mystery cycles, and
nineteenth-century closet dramas. In addition to works by major
dramatists such as Ben Jonson, Aphra Behn, William Wycherley, Oliver
Goldsmith, Richard Sheridan, Oscar Wilde and J. M. Synge, English Drama
includes the dramatic writings of many more neglected writers long
inaccessible in print form.

humanities. Examples of discipliness covered are: history, economics,

countries. The lag time in publication ranges from 3 and 5 years.

The Literature Resource Center, a complete literature reference
database, possesses an immense collection of biographies,
bibliographies, critical essays, work overviews, author-related
websites, and timeline events. It contains information on literary
figures from all time periods writing in such genres as fiction,
nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, journalism, and more.

The MLA International Bibliography, produced by the Modern Language
Association of America, provides access to scholarly research in
literature, language, linguistics, and folklore covering nearly 4,000
journals and series. Updated ten times per year.

Twentieth-Century Drama (Chadwyck-Healey)

When complete, Twentieth-Century Drama will contain 2,500 published
plays from throughout the English-speaking world, covering the history
of modern drama from the 1890s to the present day. The full range of
dramatic styles, genres and traditions will be represented, from widely
studied and frequently performed plays to important examples of radical
theatre, regional theatre, postcolonial theatre, women's theatre and
popular forms such as melodrama, farce and thriller that are often
under-represented in surveys of the period.
