Bears @ Nite BINGO!!
This Friday at 9 p.m., Bears @ Nite will host another round of Bingo. Come to the South Dining Hall at 9 p.m., and you will have the chance to win over $500 worth of prizes. Bring friends, roommates, significant others, and etc. The more who come, the more who have a chance at winning. Light refreshments will be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself.

The Israel Chamber Orchestra is performing in Schaeffer Auditorium on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m., as part of the 2007-2008 Kutztown University Performing Artists Series. Composed entirely of virtuosos, this 35-member orchestra is touring the U.S. for the first time in more than a decade. The concert will feature Vivaldi’s "Concerto for Oboe in C Major," Saint-Saëns’ "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso," Beethoven’s "Symphony No. 7," and "Symphony of Fire" by Gil Shohat.

The College of Visual and Performing Arts, along with the Department of Music, is pleased to present the Annual Faculty Recital to benefit the Rudolf and Flora M. Wertime Music Scholarship Fund. The noted figurative painter, Jerome Witkin, will be presenting a public lecture on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the McFarland Student Union Alumni Auditorium. Witkin is one of the most highly regarded contemporary representational painters. His work can be found in more than 30 museum collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Hirshhorn Museum, and The American Academy of Arts and Letters. He was recently the subject of a feature article in Art In America magazine. Witkin's lecture is sponsored by the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the Department of Fine Arts. The College of Visual and Performing Arts "Visiting Artist Lecture Program" presents Kristen Accola, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in 261 Boehm. Kristen Accola is Curator of a current exhibition, "CUBA-Artists Experience Their Country," at the Hunterdon Museum of Art, Clinton, N.J. She will talk about the 25 Cuban artists in the exhibit, visiting their studios, and attending the Havana Biennial.

Television host and celebrity fashion stylist Marcellas Reynolds first appeared on TV screens as the quick-witted, hilariously outspoken house guest on CBS' summer sensation "Big Brother." Reynolds has since made numerous television appearances on shows including "The Tyra Banks Show," Style Network's "How Do I Look," "E! FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) Workshop – All faculty, staff, and graduate assistants are invited to attend an informational workshop on FERPA requirements. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, known as FERPA, governs the release of student information to parties inside and outside of the university. It is imperative that all members of the university community are aware of how FERPA affects information that can be provided about students. Newer faculty and staff members, who may not have attended prior university-sponsored FERPA workshops are especially encouraged to attend. The workshop will take place Tuesday, March 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in 250 McFarland Student Union. Reserve your spot today by e-mailing vigoda@kutztown.edu or calling ext. 3-4020. The Department of Human Resources is hosting "New Employee Orientation" on Monday, Feb. 25. KU-SUMMER STUDY PROGRAM IN MUNICH AND AUSTRIA 2008
There will be an informational meeting about the KU Summer Study Program in Austria on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. in 26 Rohrbach Library. Courses offered in English include HIS 227 - "History of the Holocaust" and GER 360 - "Study Abroad Experience." GER 104 - "Intermediate German" will also be offered. Application deadline is Feb. 29. Program Summary: After five exciting days in Munich and traveling to sites in Bavaria, the program moves to its home base in Telfes, Austria. Telfes, a scenic alpine village in the Stubai valley 15 kilometers south of Innsbruck, will serve as headquarters for class instruction, site visits, and excursions.
