NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS


IMPORTANT - PLEASE ANNOUNCE TO ALL CLASSES

AFTER CAREFUL REVIEW I HAVE DECIDED TO RESCIND SATURDAY, APRIL 5, 2008 AS A FRIDAY MAKE-UP DAY AND USE MONDAY, MARCH 24, 2008 (currently scheduled as a reading day) AS THE MAKE-UP FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2008.

This means that Monday, March 24, 2008 will be on a Friday schedule.  I realize that this may be inconvenient for some.  PLEASE ANNOUNCE THIS CHANGE IN THE SCHEDULE TO YOUR CLASSES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The Tuesday evening February 12, 2008 classes that were rescheduled for Friday evening, February 22, 2008 are to remain rescheduled to Friday evening, April 11, 2008.  Exceptions to this will be subject to approval by the Provost.

The make-up schedules will be as follows:

Construction Update: Part of the Sharadin renovation project requires re-distribution of fiber optic and copper cabling. This will necessitate the interruption of Internet, telephone and television services to the following buildings: Sharadin, Communication Design House, Schaeffer, Graduate Center, and the President’s Residence. This outage is scheduled to proceed this Friday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m. Work will continue through the weekend with all systems tested and working prior to 8 a.m. on Monday, March 10.

THANK YOU

On March 5, KU hosted 25 area high school students and 10 staff for “Transition Academy Day,” in collaboration with the Berks County Intermediate Unit’s Transition Coordinating Council. Thank you to the 25 KU student volunteers who the students shadowed to a class, to the faculty who welcomed our visitors, and for the KU tour guides, staff and faculty who assisted and participated in the program.  It was well received by all!
