From May 5 - May 9, the Women's Center will coordinate a drive benefiting Friend, Inc.; Berks Women in Crisis, Opportunity House, Mary's Shelter and other local agencies. Items accepted include unopened food, used clothing, toys, art supplies, baby items, personal care items, and household products. Volunteer sorters are welcome.
Collection boxes will be in the lobby of every residence hall. Donations also may be brought to the Collection Center, 127 Old Main. (This is NOT the Women's Center.) If you have a trunk load of items to donate, please call ahead to the Women's Center (ext. 3-4655) to see if anyone can assist you in bringing the items up the public elevator near the day care area to the Collection Center, which is on that end of the building.

Attention Faculty: If you adopted the same textbook for the fall semester, please remind your students they may sell back their textbooks prior to leaving for summer break. Should they choose to do so, now is when textbooks will be at their highest value. Textbook buyback will take place at the following locations:

First Annual Equality Picnic.
Noon - 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4 at the Kutztown Community park (in the brick picnic
area near the tennis courts). The event is free and open to the public. Join us as we celebrate
the 50th birthday of the late pop artist and Kutztown native, Keith Haring.
There will be games, volleyball, and karaoke with the Lehigh Valley Music Dudes.

The Organization for Latino Studies/Spanish Club and Sigma Delta Pi, The Hispanic Honor Society, would like to invite the university community to an Aztec dance event at 3 p.m., Friday, May 2 on the lawn in front of McFarland Student Union building. In case of rain, it will be held in the Untiy Room of the Multicultural Center. The dance troup is a Mexican family that has been performing authentic Aztec dances professionally for more than 30 years, and it should be a great way for everyone to relax and rejuvenate before finals!
