The annual campus wide pre-emergent and broadleaf weed control application has been scheduled for May 13. These liquid applied herbicides are the safest products available for commercial use, persons should avoid contact with or walking across grassy surfaces for 24 hours after the application. Construction Updates: Last week there were several notices of upcoming construction projects starting on campus in the very near future. In addition to those projects, the following projects are scheduled to begin as well.
Renovation/Modernization to three elevators will begin on Monday, May 12. The affected elevators are: Beekey, Lytle, and the freight elevator in the Stratton Admin Building. Lytle elevator and Admin freight elevator are scheduled to be complete mid-June. Beekey elevator will remain out of service until the end of July.
Restroom 123 in Lytle Hall will be closed for renovation starting Monday, May 12 until Friday, May 16 .
Old Main C-wing (1st floor – Music ) will be closed for renovations starting Monday, May 12 until mid-June .
Grim Science room 307 will be closed for renovation starting Monday, May 12 until Friday, August 8 .
Keystone Arena will be closed starting Wednesday, June 11 until Tuesday, June 24 for floor refinishing.
The Natatorium at Keystone will be closed for construction. The pool will be drained starting Sunday, May 11. The renovation is scheduled to complete on Friday, August 8.

An electronics recycling drive, sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 6261 will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 from at Weisenberg Elementary School, 2665 Golden Key Road, Kutztown, PA 19530.
Items accepted include: monitors, TVs, printers, CPUs, modems, keyboards, cell phones, mainframes, copiers, fax machines, typewriters, telephone PBX, CRTs, laptops, cables, terminals, lab equipment, VCR's, stereos and radios, test equipment, medical equipment, toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, printer fusers and more.
Televisions cost $5 per set to recycle. All other materials are accepted at a suggested donation of $5 per carload.
Directions: From Interstate 78, take the Route 863 North exit. Continue on Route 863 / Golden Key Road for approximately one mile. Weisenberg Elementary will be on your right. For further information, e-mail kackley@kutztown.edu
